This ceremony will be broadcast live to the nation and include footage from other Matariki ceremonies from across the country including Hokianga, Ruapehu and Porirua.

In order to support various communities across the nation to celebrate Matariki, Professor Sir Pou Tēmara and Professor Rangi Matamua have been very active in engaging with groups and individuals, supporting the increasing number of hautapu ceremonies.
